What Are Critical Alerts?
Critical alerts appear when:
Lab values are in dangerous ranges
Severe food-drug interactions are detected
Patterns suggest urgent concern

Alert icon (!) prominent
Bold text
Can't be easily dismissed
Alert Content
Each alert includes:

Option to acknowledge
Types of Critical Alerts
Lab Value Alerts
When uploaded lab results show:
Critically high or low potassium
Severely low hemoglobin
Dangerous glucose levels
Other critical values
Action: "Contact your healthcare provider immediately"
Medication Interaction Alerts
When you log food that severely interacts:
MAOIs + tyramine (can cause hypertensive crisis)
Certain drugs + specific foods
Action: Avoid the combination; contact provider if consumed
Pattern Alerts
When tracking reveals concerning patterns:
Consistently very low intake
Dangerous nutrient patterns
Signs of potential eating disorder
Action: Seek appropriate support
Responding to Alerts
Don't Panic
Alerts are precautionary:

Go to emergency care if you experience:

Tap "I Understand"
Alert will be logged but dismissed
May reappear if condition persists

Can I Turn Off Critical Alerts?
No. Critical alerts are designed for safety and cannot be disabled.
