Manual Lab Entry

Prefer to type your lab values? Here's how to enter them manually.

When to Use Manual Entry

  • Your lab report isn't in a standard format
  • You have results from a non-traditional lab
  • Upload isn't working
  • You only want to enter specific values
  • How to Enter Labs Manually

  • Go to Labs from the navigation
  • Click Enter Manually (or + Add Results > Manual Entry)
  • Select a lab panel (or individual tests)
  • Enter your values
  • Add reference ranges if available
  • Enter the test date
  • Click Save & Analyze
  • Entering Values

For each test, you can enter:

    Required

  • Test name (selected from our list)
  • Value (the number from your results)
  • Unit (mg/dL, mmol/L, etc.)
  • Optional but Recommended

  • Reference range (low and high normal values)
  • Lab name (Quest, LabCorp, etc.)
  • Common Lab Panels

    We have quick-entry templates for:

    Complete Blood Count (CBC)

  • Hemoglobin, Hematocrit, RBC, WBC, Platelets
  • MCV, MCH, MCHC, RDW
  • Metabolic Panel

  • Glucose, BUN, Creatinine
  • Sodium, Potassium, Chloride, CO2
  • Calcium

  • Total Cholesterol, LDL, HDL
  • Triglycerides
  • Iron Panel

  • Transferrin Saturation
  • Thyroid Panel

  • Vitamins

  • Vitamin D, B12, Folate
  • Unit Conversion

ClapDiet automatically converts between common units:

  • mg/dL ↔ mmol/L (glucose, cholesterol)
  • ng/mL ↔ nmol/L (vitamin D)
  • μg/dL ↔ μmol/L (iron)
  • Just enter the value in whatever unit your lab used.

    Adding Reference Ranges

Reference ranges help us understand if values are normal:

  • Find the "normal range" on your lab report
  • Enter the low and high values
  • Our analysis will use your lab's specific ranges
  • Different labs use different ranges—this makes our analysis more accurate.
