Start here, because it changes what is worth trying: ClapDiet does not sync.
There is no second copy of your data on your phone to be reconciled with the
one on your account. Every screen reads your account when you open it, and every
entry is written to your account when you save it.
So there is nothing that can be stuck, half-finished or out of order. When
something is missing on one device, it is almost always one of three things,
and none of them is sync.
How this worksThe three causes, in order of likelihood
1. A different account
By a wide margin the most common. It is easy to end up with two accounts
without noticing — signing up with an email address on one device and with
Google or Apple on another creates two separate accounts that look identical
from the outside.
Check the email address shown under Settings > Profile on the web, or
Settings > Account in the app, on each device. If they differ, that isyour answer: sign out on the device showing less, and sign back in with the
other address.
2. The screen has not reloaded
Screens hold what they loaded for a few minutes so that moving back and forth
does not re-fetch constantly. If you changed something elsewhere in the last
few minutes, pull down to refresh — or leave the screen and come back.
3. You are looking at a different day
Daily totals are worked out in your account's timezone. If that timezone is
wrong, entries can appear on the day either side of the one you expect. Check it
under your profile.
When nothing loads at all
That is a connection problem rather than a data problem. The app cannot detect
that you are offline, so it shows an error or an empty screen instead of saying
so — see Offline mode, which also explains
why anything you logged without a connection is not waiting to be uploaded.
New device, nothing there
There is no initial sync to wait through. Sign in and your data is there
immediately. If it is not, go back to cause 1 above — it is the account, not the
transfer.
The same entry twice
If you logged something on two devices within a minute of each other, you have
two entries rather than one merged one. Delete the one you do not want. You will
never be asked to resolve a conflict, because there is no second version to
conflict with.
Things that will not help
Worth naming, because they are the reflexes:
nothing else.
Signing out and back in is the one classic move that does help, and only
because it resolves cause 1.
Still missing
Email support@clapdiet.com rather than re-entering it, and say what is missing,
roughly when you entered it, and on which device. We would rather find out where
it went.
