Found something broken? Email support@clapdiet.com.
There is no in-app bug form and no shake-to-report, and nothing about your
device, your session or your logs is collected automatically. That is worth
knowing before you write, because it means the report is only as good as what
you put in it.
What to send
What happened
Describe it as specifically as you can.
Good: "The app closed itself when I tapped Save on a breakfast entry."
Not useful: "The app doesn't work."
What you expected instead
Often obvious to you and not to us. Say it anyway.
How to make it happen again
Numbered steps, from a known starting point:
If you cannot reproduce it, say that too — an intermittent problem is still
worth reporting, it just needs different information.
A screenshot
Show the error message, the wrong number, or the empty screen. If the problem
is something moving or disappearing, a short screen recording says more.
When it started
First time ever? Only since a particular day? Every time or occasionally?
Your setup
Since none of this is gathered for us, include it:
A worked example
> What happened: The app closes itself when I upload a lab PDF over about
> 10 MB.
>
> Steps: Labs tab, Upload, choose a large PDF, it closes immediately.
>
> Expected: Either the upload starts or I get a message saying the file is
> too big.
>
> Setup: iPhone 14, iOS 17.1, ClapDiet 1.0.0, me@example.com
>
> Frequency: Every time, with two different files.
That is enough to reproduce without a single follow-up question.
What happens next
Your email is read by a person. If something in it is unclear, you will get a
question back. If it is reproducible, it gets fixed and ships in a later
release.
We do not run a public bug tracker, so there is no ticket number to follow and
no status page to watch. If you want to know when a specific thing is fixed,
say so in your email and we will reply when it is.
Anything sensitive
A screenshot of ClapDiet may contain your health data. Send only what is needed
to show the problem, and crop or cover the rest. If a report would mean sending
something you would rather not, describe it instead — that is usually enough.
If what you have found is a security issue rather than a bug, write to
security@clapdiet.com instead, and please do not post the details publicly
first. Security and your data explains
what we do and do not claim.
