Biometric Authentication

Use your face or fingerprint to log in quickly and securely on mobile devices.

What Is Biometric Authentication?

Biometric authentication uses your unique physical characteristics to verify your identity:

  • Face ID (iPhone X and later)
  • Touch ID (older iPhones, some iPads)
  • Fingerprint (Android devices)
  • Setting Up Biometrics

    On iOS

  • Open the ClapDiet app
  • Go to Profile > Settings > Security
  • Toggle on Face ID or Touch ID
  • Authenticate with your biometric to confirm
  • On Android

  • Open the ClapDiet app
  • Go to Profile > Settings > Security
  • Toggle on Fingerprint Login
  • Scan your fingerprint to confirm
  • Requirements

  • Your device must support biometric authentication
  • You must have biometrics set up in your device settings
  • You must be logged in to enable biometrics
  • Using Biometrics

    Once enabled:

  • Open the ClapDiet app
  • You'll see a biometric prompt
  • Authenticate with your face or fingerprint
  • You're logged in!
  • You can still enter your password if you prefer.

    Security Notes

  • Your biometric data never leaves your device
  • ClapDiet doesn't store your fingerprint or face scan
  • We only use your device's secure authentication
  • If biometric fails 3 times, you'll need your password
  • Disabling Biometrics

  • Go to Profile > Settings > Security
  • Toggle off Face ID/Touch ID/Fingerprint
  • Enter your password to confirm
  • Troubleshooting

  • Try disabling and re-enabling the feature
