Login with Google or GitHub

ClapDiet supports signing in with your Google or GitHub account for faster, passwordless access.

Signing In with Google

  • Go to the login page
  • Click Continue with Google
  • Select your Google account
  • Grant the requested permissions
  • You're logged in!
  • First Time with Google?

If this is your first time, we'll create a new ClapDiet account linked to your Google account.

    Already Have an Account?

If you previously created an account with the same email address:

  • Your accounts will be linked automatically
  • All your data will be there
  • You can still log in with your password if you prefer
  • Signing In with GitHub

  • Go to the login page
  • Click Continue with GitHub
  • Log in to GitHub (if not already logged in)
  • Authorize ClapDiet to access your basic profile
  • You're in!
  • What We Access

    We only access:

  • Your name
  • Your email address
  • Your profile picture
  • We never access your code, repositories, or private data.

    Benefits of Social Login

✅ No new password to remember

    ✅ Faster sign-in

✅ Uses your existing security (like Google's 2FA)

✅ Easy to use across devices

    Unlinking Social Accounts

To remove a linked social account:

  • Go to Settings > Connected Accounts
  • Find the account you want to unlink
  • Click Disconnect
  • Confirm your choice
  • Note: If you signed up only with a social account, you'll need to set a password before unlinking.

Setting a Password for Social Accounts

If you signed up with Google or GitHub and want a password:

  • Go to Settings > Security
  • Click Set Password
  • Enter your desired password
  • Confirm the password
  • Click Save
  • Now you can log in with either method!

    Troubleshooting

  • Logging in with your password instead
  • Using the password reset option
  • "Authorization failed" Error

  • Make sure you're logged into the correct Google/GitHub account
  • Try clearing your browser cache
