Deleting Your Account | ClapDiet Help Center

Deleting your account erases your health record. This article says exactly what

goes, what stays, and what deletion does not do — measured against the code that

performs it, not against what we would like it to do.

Before You Delete

Take a copy first

There is nothing left to export afterwards.

Go to Settings > Privacy & Security

Use Download My Data for the whole record as JSON, or the per-category

buttons beside it for spreadsheets

Cancel a paid subscription first

Deleting your account does not cancel your subscription. Nothing in the

deletion touches billing, and the subscription record is one of the things we

are required to keep — so if you leave a paid plan running, it keeps running.

How to Delete Your Account

Go to Settings > Privacy & Security

Open Delete Account

Type DELETE — in capitals, exactly those six letters. It is the text our

server checks for, so it is the same in every language

Press Delete My Account

There is no password step. The only thing the deletion endpoint asks for is that

word.

On the phone the same screen is under Profile > Delete Account.

What Gets Erased

Everything below is deleted outright, in one database transaction, before the

request returns. Not queued, not scheduled.

Your health record — conditions, allergies, medications, goals, dietary

preferences and safety alerts

Lab results — every panel, every result, and the readings we extracted

from your uploads. The uploaded documents themselves are deleted from storage

too, not only their database rows

Food and meals — food logs, your own foods, favourites, collections, meal

plans, search history and recently viewed foods

Tracking — weight, hydration, symptoms and every daily nutrient snapshot

Guidance and assistant — recommendations, insights, the feedback you gave

on them, and every conversation you have had with the assistant

Reminders and notifications — your schedules, and everything we sent you

Activity — achievements, streaks, points and the feedback you sent us

Every way of signing in — your password, linked Google and GitHub

accounts, two-factor backup codes, push registrations and all signed-in

devices

Your name, date of birth, body measurements, location, timezone and every other

personal field on the account are blanked at the same time.

What We Keep, and Why

Four things survive. We would rather say so here than have you discover it.

The account row itself. It stays as an empty marker holding an id and a

scrambled address. Every personal field on it is blanked. Your email address

is released, so you can sign up again with it.

Subscription and invoices. Financial records with a statutory retention

period. They hold no health data, and after the deletion they are no longer

tied to a person.

The security log. Sign-ins, sign-outs, and the record of this deletion

itself. It is purged automatically after 90 days.

Assistant cost records. What each assistant call cost us to run — provider,

model, token counts, latency. No prompt or response content. Your account is

unlinked from these; the figures stay.

Timeline

Immediately: everything in the list above is gone, and you are signed out

After 90 days: the security log entry for your deletion is purged

We do not operate a delayed-deletion window, and there is nothing to cancel

during one.

Can I Undo This?

No. We cannot recover your record after deletion, and there is no support

route that can. If you are unsure, export your data first — or simply stop using

the app, which costs you nothing on the free plan.
