Completing Onboarding

When you first create your ClapDiet account, you'll go through a quick onboarding process. This takes about 5 minutes and helps us personalize everything for you.

The Onboarding Steps

Step 1: Your Goals

Tell us what you want to achieve:

  • Better energy: Optimize nutrients for daily vitality
  • Weight management: Track calories and macros effectively
  • Blood pressure control: DASH-focused recommendations
  • Sports performance: Hydration and electrolyte optimization
  • Kidney stone prevention: Oxalate and hydration tracking
  • General wellness: Balanced nutrition for overall health
  • You can select multiple goals!

    Step 2: Basic Information

    We'll ask for:

  • Your age
  • Biological sex (for accurate nutrient ranges)
  • Height and weight
  • Activity level
  • Step 3: Dietary Preferences

    Choose your eating style:

  • Diet type (omnivore, vegetarian, vegan, etc.)
  • Favorite cuisines (we have 30+ options!)
  • Any food allergies
  • Religious dietary requirements
  • Step 4: Health Context (Optional)

    For the most personalized experience:

  • Select any health conditions you manage
  • Add current medications
  • Note any supplements you take
  • Note: You can skip this step, but you'll see a warning that recommendations may be less tailored.

    Step 5: Choose Your Mode

    Select your primary tracking mode:

  • Standard: Balanced nutrition tracking
  • Sports Hydration: For athletes and active people
  • Keto/Low-Carb: Net carb and ketosis tracking
  • DASH: Blood pressure management
  • Kidney Stone Prevention: Oxalate and hydration focus
  • Intermittent Fasting: Fasting timer and meal windows
  • You can change your mode anytime!

    Skipping Steps

    You can skip most onboarding steps by clicking Skip or Do this later. However, the more information you provide, the better your experience will be.

    Editing Onboarding Choices

    Made a mistake or changed your mind? No problem:

  • Go to Settings
  • Select the relevant section (Profile, Diet Mode, Health Conditions)
  • Make your changes
  • Click Save
  • Can I Redo Onboarding?

    Yes! If you want to start fresh:

  • Go to Settings > Account
  • Scroll to Reset Onboarding
  • Click Start Over
  • This won't delete any of your data—it just lets you go through the setup process again.
