How to use ClapDiet's meal planning features effectively

4 min readUpdated Sep 2, 2026

Meal planning in ClapDiet is built around one thing: a plan the AI writes from

your health profile and your latest lab results, which you review before it

is kept. Around it sit a small curated recipe catalogue and the daily food log.

What exists today

  • AI meal plans — a 3, 5, 7 or 14-day plan generated for you on request, held in a review queue until you approve or reject it, then kept on your account with its decision. Generating one is part of the Pro and Family plans.
  • Recipes — 29 curated dishes across seven regions, searchable and scalable to the number of servings you need. Free, and open without an account.
  • The food log — where what you actually eat is recorded, day by day. A plan does not write into it; you log meals yourself.
  • What does not exist yet

  • There is no calendar to place meals on, no meal-slot picker, and no weekly grid. A plan is a document you read, not a schedule you edit.
  • Nothing in either app builds a plan by hand. The phone's Meal Plans screen has a place for hand-built plans, but nothing creates one, so that section stays empty and its shopping list stays out of reach.
  • Approving a plan keeps it and records the decision. It does not fill your food log, set targets or change your recommendations.
  • Where to find it

    On the web

  • Open Meals from the navigation

  • Every plan you have generated is listed under Your meal plans at the foot of the generator page, with its review status

  • On the Plans tab, Generate a new plan opens the generator
  • A sensible first week

  • Make sure your allergies, conditions and dietary preferences are saved — they are what the AI reads
  • Generate a 7-day plan and read the rationale at the bottom of it
  • Approve it if it fits your life, or reject it with a reason and generate another
  • Use the plan as a guide while you log what you eat
