Clearing Cache & Data
Sometimes clearing cached data fixes problems. Here's how.
What Is Cache?
Cache is temporary data stored to make the app faster:
Recently viewed foods
Downloaded images
Search history
Temporary files
When to Clear Cache
Clear cache if:
App is running slow
Seeing old/incorrect data
App behaving strangely
Support suggests it
After major updates
Clearing Cache (Safe)
This removes temporary files but keeps your account and data.
Android
Go to Settings (phone settings)
Tap Apps or Application Manager
Find and tap ClapDiet
Tap Storage
Tap Clear Cache
Reopen ClapDiet
iOS
iOS doesn't have a clear cache option. Options:
Offload App:
- Settings > General > iPhone Storage
- Find ClapDiet
- Tap "Offload App"
- Reinstall from App Store
- Sign back in
Web
Open browser settings
Find "Clear browsing data"
Select:
- Cached images and files
- Cookies (optional)
Time range: "All time"
Clear data
Refresh ClapDiet
Clearing All Data (Reset)
⚠️ Warning: This removes all local data. Your cloud data is safe.
Android
Go to Settings > Apps > ClapDiet
Tap Storage
Tap Clear Data (not just cache)
Confirm
Reopen app and sign in
Data will sync from cloud
iOS
Delete the ClapDiet app
Reinstall from App Store
Sign in
Data syncs from cloud

Check "Cached Web Content"
Clear
Safari
Safari menu > Clear History
Or: Preferences > Privacy > Manage Website Data
Find clapdiet.com > Remove
Edge
Menu (…) > Settings
Privacy, search, and services
Clear browsing data > Choose what to clear
Select Cached images and files
Clear now
Doesn't Fix the Issue?
If clearing cache doesn't help:
Try clearing all data (reset)
Update the app
Update your device OS
